According to Agriturist, an association promoted by Confagricoltura (an Italian agricultural organization), not all tourists who decide to spend their summer in Italy will go to the beach.

In reality, also agritourisms and country inns will have a lot to say about those foreign tourists who come to Italy. The most popular regions for farm stays are, in order: Tuscany, Lazio, Lombardy, Sicily, and Liguria. In particular, the most appreciated province is Grossetto.

Right in the heart of Maremma Natural Park, at Magliano in Tuscany, one of the most beautiful of these country inns is the Tenuta Agricola dell’Uccellina, which is devoted to raising horses, besides obviously welcoming tourists. In fact, it also has a riding school and many opportunities for excursions and teaching riding techniques for those who desire to try some horseback riding fully immersed in nature.
