Real estate in Italy: buying properties on the rise

The Italian property market is on the rise, in hopeful signs of recovery from the economic crisis that left many foregoing their plans for a mediterranean retirement or moving to Italy. It seems that the market is stabilising again and will stay that way as long as no further financial worries or unemployment strike.

If you’re in Britain, given the strength of the Euro against the pound, your dream of an Italian villa might suddenly seem less attainable. But if you’re prepared to do your research, reasonable property buys can be made. The key is to find something that’s got the authenticity you want, not far from a major airport. That’s if you can put up with the other British ex-pats as your neighbours…
