Restaurants and trattorias in Rome: Matricianella

posted: Saturday 21 November 2009 by Giorgio in: Rome Restaurants

In Rome there’s a restaurant called Matricianella and famed for its bucatini all’amatriciana; a few days ago I had the chance to taste it and I must admit that it was the best bucatini all’amatriciana dish I have ever had in my life; prepared according to an old recipe with guanciale, tomato sauce and pecorino cheese, the dish satisfied my hunger for good, though I couldn’t resist the temptation and also ordered the famous Roman dish “artichokes” alla giudea plus fish fry with apples and zucchini. Simply heavenly! Price: 25 euros per person.
