A one-off, special edition Ferrari called the P540 Superfast Aperta has been custom built for a rich American customer who wanted to contribute to designing his very own Ferrari. The Superfast Aperta uses the 599 GTB Fiorano as a base and is inspired by the Fantuzzi Ferrari spider, made famous by the Fellini film “Toby Dammit”.

The Superfast Aperta was totally custom built and took 14 months in total, including the design process. Ferrari customers can have a hand in designing their own Ferraris as part of the Special Projects plan, created for hard-core Ferrari fans and exclusive clients. The customer of this Superfast Aperta is American Edward Walson, the son of cable TV inventor, John Walson.
