BioGusto: a new organic restaurant in Rome

posted: Friday 18 April 2008 by Giorgio in: Emilia Romagna Rome Restaurants

The restaurant Biogusto in Rome opened just a few week ago and can seat 80 people. It offers Italian Cuisine and uses only organic and eco-friendly products. For first course you can have fettuccine made from emmer flour, with zucchini sauce or seafood ragout or linguine with salmon and dry prunes. For second course you can instead choose among several dishes from prawn pie with sultana grapes and pine seeds to carpaccio with rucola and fennel or if you have a penchant for exotic food, salmon à la Russe could be the right thing for you.

The wine list is superb. Red and white wines coming from the regions of Central Italy. Remember there are two kinds of menu. One listing seafood (39 euros) the other meat and seasonal produce(34 euros). There’s also an annexed shop where you can buy all the organic products you want. The restaurant opens every evening from Tuesday to Saturday. On Sundays only at lunchtime. Closed on Mondays
