Touring Campania from Naples to the Amalfi Coast, might seem like a romantic trip, but not if you’re travelling on the Circumvesuviana Campania train line. While it passes some of Italy’s most beautiful landscapes, with views to take your breath away, you need some patience to get you through the trip as well.

If you love Italian cinema, then you’re likely to be familiar with the film “Il Postino”, or the “Postman”. The main character, Mario, interpreted by Massimo Troisi, has all the wisdom you need in his simplicity. He says:

Actress Rosario Dawson in a bikini on the island of Ischia
A cheerful Rosario Dawson has been seen in a bikini on the island of Ischia, and this time the paparazzi taking the shot was not sent away. The American actress is in Ischia for the Global Film and Music Festival, and has been enjoying the Italian summer. Rosario has passed the swim wear test with flying colours, showing her lovely curves and waving cheerfully to the camera.
Other actors at the festival include Claire Danes, Matt Dillon, Val Kilmer and Vanessa Redgrave.

Vintage car events: Ischia and the "Triangolo d'Oro"
The third edition of the “Triangolo d’Oro” or “Golden Triangle” will take place from July 23 to 27 through the Classic Car Club of Naples, which is celebrating 25 years. The event combines the beauty of vintage cars with the fascination of island of Ischia.
I would say this is the next best thing to the Etna Raid in Sicily. It seems like the Italians know how to combine vintage car appreciation with tourism initiatives. The Triangolo d’Oro includes escursions, exhibitions, races, dinners, shopping and a visit to the thermal baths of Giardini Poseidon. Ischia is a small volcanic island in the Thyrrhenian Sea of the west coast of Italy. From its shores on clear days one can spot Naples which is just 17 miles away. The island is almost entirely mountainous and its main industry is tourism. Its thermal spas attract tourists from every corner of the world. Writer Truman Capote fell in love with it in the 50s. He even wrote an essay about his stay on the island. A favourite with Tennesse Williams as well who used to consider the island one of the most beautiful places in the world.
