If you have ever dreamed of living in a castle, you can’t afford to miss the offer by the Montegufoni castle in Tuscany; located in the green countryside around the city of Florence, the castle was converted into a hotel a few years ago. Sir George Sitwell who bought the castle in the 1920s, wished to enriched one of the rooms with a new fresco and thus commissioned the work to Gino Servini, a painter that the Englishman had met in Paris when the city was teeming with futurist artists who wished to change the world!
The castle comprises 25 flats bearing such evocative name as Tower, Chapel and Cardinal and 19 lodges with such captivatingly beautiful names as Sunset and Arches. The place also features a huge terraced park, Italian gardens (they still look as they did back in the 18th century) and swimming pool. For more information please click here.
