
Val di Fassa has just opened its slopes and Passa San Pellegrino/ Passo Costalunga ski tracks are now available. The season has started with a series of international skiing competitions and concerts (a tradition that Val di Fassa continues every year). But the big news is that at the beginning of December (4/5 ) new ski tracks will be opened at the resort and if the 50 cm of snow, which has just fallen, shouldn’t be enough, don’t worry, artificial snow machines will ensure a fantastic ski experience!

With Christmas looming, the city of Caserta has organised a series of interesting events and exhibitions; the first called “Caserta in fotografia” and dedicated to photos depicting Caserta in the 1950s has been inaugurated at the palazzo del Fascio last Saturday (all photos come from an important photographic archive). The second - devoted to Christmas - comprises three different segments; the first called Natale in Tutte le sue sfaccettature or All aspects of Christmas; the second “ Le eccellenze enogastronomiche, dedicated to wine and food and the third I Più bei giocattoli or The most beautiful toys. But Another attraction which will draw thousands visitors during the coming season is the huge Christmas tree which has been put up in Piazza Dante, Caserta‘s major square.

The city of Rimini for the seventh time in its history will play host to a tv show called L’anno che verrà with Tv presenter Fabrizio frizzi; the show produced by Rai will take place in the beautiful piazza Fellini where every year people meet to celebrate New Year’s eve. But along with this much awaited tv show which will be aired on 31th December, the city, in collaboration with Ballandi Entertainment, will host many other interesting events including the staging of Arturo Toscanini ‘s most famous opera Tosca, directed by Ivan Stefanuti and starring the Rimini Opera House Chrous, and two nativity scenes entirely made of sand and which will be on view at Torre Pedrera.
