Who is Federica Pellegrini: Italy's hottest sports stars
Italy’s hot athlete Federica Pellegrini posed naked for Vanity Fair, but who is Federica? Controversy over Federica talking about her sexual fantasies in the media has also plagued the swimmer, who is a strong personality among Italian sports stars.
Federica Pellegrini is an Italian freestyle swimmer, born in Mirano in 1988. Her career so far has seen her hold world records in 200 and 400 metres freestyle events, and she is the first Italian to have won an Olympic gold medal for swimming, at the Beijing games last year.
She started swimming in 1995 and although young at the 2004 Athens Olympics, she won a silver medal in the 200 metres freestyle. She repeated this result at the world swimming championships in 2005. After many other successes in recent years, Federica currently shines at the World Swimming Championships in Rome, winning the gold for the 400 metres freestyle and establishing a new world record, and doing the same in the 200 metres event.

Italy's favourite sports stars: hot rowers and sexy swimmers rank among Italy's best sports stars
After some research done by Italy’s RAI network on TG2 Costume e Società, a ranking of the most popular Italian sports stars has emerged, covering a diversity of sports in results that pleasingly show that soccer is not the focus.
Among the men, rower Antonio Rossi comes in at fifth position. Rossi is certainly a choice for the ladies, and this hot Italian sports star is seen in the photo, on the right. Italian national football captain Fabio Cannavaro gains fourth spot, while young gun motorcycle star Marco Simoncelli comes in third.
Another Italian football player, Gigi Buffon appears second; whatever your local side leanings are, Buffon is the national team’s goal keeper and it’s hard to measure the affection the Italian public has for him. Just a few days before leaving for Bejing and the Olympic Games, Federica Pellegrini confessed to Vanity Fair that one of her wildest sexual fantasies was to make love to her boyfriend in the locker room while wearing high stilettos. Back then the interview made people talk and the championess was not a bit pleased with all that sniggering behind her back. Now she categorically refuses to talk about that interview since she doesn’t want to cause any new stir over her sex life. Well, I’m sure that Luca Marin, her fiancé, must feel quite relieved by her new no comment attitude.
