This season sportswear seems to be all the rage (see Emporio Armani show). The cool look for spring! So it did not come as a surprise at all when D&G presented - on the last day of Milan men’s fashion week - a collection almost entirely made up of luxe ski suites! Take a look at our gallery!
Giorgio Armani ‘s passion for sports is well known ( and he’s undoubtedly in good trim for a man of his age), so the sporty look which we saw at Emporio Armani show just a few days ago did not come as a surprise at all. The collection for next autumn was a mix of immaculately-tailored suites and more casual attires such as long loose cardigans and close-fitting jackets.

With this new collection for autumn 2010, Salvatore Ferragamo has taken a new path which, if I can judge by what I saw at their show at Milan men’s fashion week, seems to lead straight to Argentina. No one can now deny that the new Ferragamo guy in suede boots and long scarves looks like a gaucho who, despite the wild life around him and some hard work ahead, loves to wear quite expensive outfits! Here’s the gallery!

The only pair of shoes that Salvatore Ferragamo ever created for a man during his life was the one that he specially made for Andy Warhol; it’s well known that the American artist did not love to wear shoes at all, but despite this idiosyncrasy he was glad to wear the Ferragamo ones which were comfortable and chic at the same time. A limited edition of this famous shoe with a splash of colour on its tip has now been presented by the Ferragamo family at Pitti Uomo in Florence and will soon be available at Ferragamo flagship stores in Florence, Milan, London and New York!
This Fiat 500 by Diesel was presented at the “Bread & Butter” young designers show in Berlin. The designer Fiat features “Midnight Indigo” blue tint and is equipped with the new Fiat 1.3-litre MultiJet II with 95 hp.
The Fiat 500 by Diesel was a collaborative project between Renzo Rosso’s famous fashion lable, and the Fiat Style Centre in Turin. The indigo colour was developed in conjunction with the Diesel creative team to reflect the colour of blue denim jeans. It’s a special tint that creates a three dimensional effect similar to the black and green colours already in the “by Diesel” Fiat range.
The 500 by Diesel also has 16-inch alloy wheels, Diesel logos on the air intakes, brushed chrome finishes and yellow brake callipers on the special version with 1.4-litre engine and 100 hp. The interior features dark denim fabric with yellow stitching, and more Diesel logos. The Fiat 500 by Diesel is available in Italy, France and Japan, and so far of 10,000 models, 6,000 have already been sold.
Dolce & Gabbana have presented their new 2010-2011 autumn winter collection at the Milan men’s fashion week. According to the Italian designers, they have looked to America of the 1900’s for inspiration, but without ignoring the glamour factor altogether. Some beautiful fabrics feature, including velvet, contrasted with ragged, poor men’s materials.

Move over Victoria Beckham, Megan Fox is the new body for Emporio Armani underwear and Armani Jeans. While not considered necessarily a very nice girl, she might be far more appreciated by the male population than Posh Spice. It seems there’s no shortage of famous people wanting to pose for Italy’s most famous designer.
