Claudio Baglioni and Gigi d'Alessio "Avrai" duet for Baglioni world tour
Gigi d’Alessio and Claudio Baglioni perform a duet as part of Baglioni’s world tour, “Un solo mondo”, which started on March 6th in Atlantic City. The Italian singer’s tour is already sold out, but if you’re lucky enough to have tickets, you’ll catch some great live performances from this Italian poet, including his classic “Questo piccolo grande amore”. Baglioni’s next performances in March are in Montreal and Toronto.
After the jump, you’ll find the Baglioni-Alessio duet live performance on Italian television, called “Avrai”. It’s a song dedicated to Baglioni’s son, and is one of the many songs that has had worldwide success. Baglioni is an Italian singer-songwriter who has consistently produced great melodies throughout his musical career. He is touring with a team of multi-instrumentalists, and the song “Avrai” is one of the feature songs of the “One World” tour. See the duet in the video after the jump.

Claudio Baglioni new single released: "Un po' d'aiuto" from QPGA and One World Tour
Claudio Baglioni is starting his 2010 One World Tour on March 6 in the US, and Italians get to hear his new single “Un po’ d’aiuto”, or “A little help”, on the radio. The song is part of a successful enterprise for Baglioni with his QPGA project. The Italian singer-songwriter has compiled a book, film, concert and double CD in one package.
“Un po’ d’aiuto” is one of the 52 songs the Italian crooner has included on his musical project which has a central theme of first, and then lost, love. The song is the second single from QPGA, and has been made with the collaboration of up to 70 artists. It’s a rock ballad, in similar style to Baglioni’s famous “Questo piccolo grande amore”.
The One World Tour starts in the US and Canada, before moving to Verona, Italy in April and then on to the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland and Spain, before concluding in the UK at the Royal Albert Hall in May. "Quando quando quando" Fergie and Will.I.Am cover plus original Italian lyrics
Fergie has done a cover of 1960’s Italian pop song “Quando, quando, quando”, featuring Will.I.Am for the musical “Nine”. The love song was originally written by Alberto Testa and Tony Renis, and has appeared in both Italian and English, the latter with various interpretations on the lyrics. This is the most recent version, and is a very funky track. Previous versions include the most famous with Engelbert Humperdinck, and a duet with Nelly Furtado and Michael Bublé. After the jump is an old Italian version sung by Claudio Villa, with the original Italian lyrics to Quando Quando Quando.

Italian love songs: new single from Mina and Manuel Agnelli from Afterhours
Veteran Italian singer, Mina has released this lovely duet with Manuel Agnelli from the group Afterhours. It’s called “Adesso è facile” or “now it’s easy”, and has a complex polyphony but an overall impression of pared-back, almost folk style with some lovely string elements. I haven’t heard this kind of focus on instrumentation in a while, particularly from an Italian singer, and it’s very refreshing.
The single is part of Mina’s new album “E’ facile”, which includes 12 new songs, including “Carne Viva” or “Living Flesh” (video after the jump). Mina is certainly a diva from the Italian music scene, with a distinctive voice and low, powerful timbre, she’s been around since the early 60’s at least.
After an original re-interpretation ten years ago from Mina on the Afterhours song “Dentro Marilyn”, which became “Tre volte dentro di me”, this is the first collaboration between the two. The single “Non e’ facile” will be on the Italian radio from today.

In this video Eros Ramazzotti performs his new song, Controvento, on the Miss Italy Italian television contest. The song is part of the new Ramazzotti album, Ali e radici (wings and roots). Italian music: Ducati featured in Battiato's film clip
Franco Battiato and Carmen Consoli performed this song live on Italian television, but here is the film clip to “Tutto l’universo obbedisce all’amore” or, “The whole universe obeys love”. The song is quite beautiful, as the title suggests, although the choice of featuring a Ducati Monster 696 in the film clip seems unusual. Unless of course you’re in love with your Ducati.
Biagio Antonacci: video of Italian love song with English lyrics
This is a very complex song from a worthy Italian artist, Biagio Antonacci. Called “Il cielo ha una porta sola” or “The sky has only one door”, it has created some controversy among fans, being an Italian love song that grows on you over time and which doesn’t necessarily please from the outset.
A Milan singer (here he would be described as “Milanese DOC”), Antonacci has released his latest album, with the same title as the above song. After the jump is the clip with some English lyrics to “Il cielo ha una porta sola”.

Italian love songs: Vasco Rossi "e" in english
Vasco Rossi is a legend in Italian music, and today we give you one of his softer songs, “e”. It’s a simple song, but full of emotion and regret. Above is the video of Vasco live in concert and after the jump, the video clip. It’s not what I would have expected, but Vasco’s career is such that he can now choose to express his artistry however he chooses.
