Mariacarla Boscono, born in Rome in 1980, is probably the most famous Italian top model in the world. Her singular beauty and inborn elegance captured the interest of Riccardo Tisci, creative director for Givenchy, and other major fashion designers, catapulting her to the upper echelons of success. Her beautiful face can now be seen everywhere; from the famous Pirelli Calendar to the prestigious covers of Vogue. Here ’s a very special gallery entirely dedicated to her dazzling beauty.

The newest trash program on Italian television is the return of the “pupa e il secchione” which can be translated to something like “the bimbo and the nerd”. In a nutshell, it basically pairs hot but silly Italian girls with the nerdiest brains in Italian engineering and intellectual circles. Obviously the men are very unattractive but it’s all in the name of entertainment. Maria Teresa Lombardo is the latest Italian model to appear and here are recent pics of her in a photo shoot. Looking similar to Elisabetta Gregoraci, and with no knickers, she’s perfect “pupa” material.

Former Italian supermodel and now French first lady Carla Bruni is known as one of the most sophisticated high profile ladies in the world. In fact, she has had to wear the title of ‘trophy wife’ more than once by Sarkozy detractors. But this photo is one of those moments when all of us normal women in the world who don’t have access to high class stylists and the best of the beauty business can breathe a sigh of relief. In fact, we can gloat, dammit.
That gloating is at the expense of this very unfortunate up-close shot of Carla Bruni. We’re not sure exactly what happened to produce a photo of this kind (too much botox is the word on the street), but it could have started with the use of excessive makeup the morning it was taken, and seeing it you can understand how Sarkozy might want to swap his trophy wife for Chantal Jouanno.
Relieved gloating aside, we publish this photo just in case you needed proof that the beautiful people of the world are very normal people, too. And that I might not live eternally with the shame of the plenty of ugly and embarrassing photos my parents keep of me - may they always stay buried in that cardboard box!

Monica Bellucci might not be the greatest Italian actress who ever lived, but we think she certainly deserves the title of Italian diva for her sultry elegance. In this photo shoot for Max, the Mexico edition, she also concedes an interview with a few pearls of wisdom for us younger girls wondering what that something is that an Italian woman like Bellucci has, that’s missing from many of the other mediocre showgirls out there.
To put the record straight, Bellucci says that she’s not a film star, she’s an actress, and that after making love, a man falls asleep while the woman reflects. At 45 years old, she’s still a very sexy woman, and has plenty of intelligence to share about women and work.
Italian heart-throb and actor, Luca Argentero, models underwear for Intimissimi, an Italian lingerie brand, in their new advertising campaign. Luca is a former Big Brother Italy housemate who has been managed to make a career in acting after the reality series, appearing in the police fiction drama, “Carabinieri”. He has been married since last July to Italian actress Myriam Catania.

Apart from being Christian Vieri’s girlfriend, former showgirl and Italian model from Sardinia, Melissa Satta, is creating a name for herself overseas. It’s what every sexy Italian woman craves - a little attention offshore from their own native country. While a topless Melissa Satta had an expose in Vanity Fair, we’ve also seen Satta in bikini in Miami, and after disappointment over missing out on being a Victoria’s Secret model, she’s seems to have picked up the pieces in an extravagant body paint swimsuit shoot for Sports Illustrated. So who is she, really?
Melissa Satta was originally born in Boston on February 7 1986, but spent most of her youth in Italy, graduating from high school and a public relations degree in Italy. She was a sports girl in her youth, in both football and karate, and started modelling at a young age after having been a finalist in the beauty contest, Miss Muretto. Satta started work as an Italian showgirl in 2005 and was one of the Striscia la notizia famous “veline“. She appeared on MTV in 2007 and this 2010 Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition should prove a highlight of her career.

Italy’s premier male beauty pageant finished up recently with Gabriele Morra elected as “il piu’ bello d’Italia”, or “Italy’s most beautiful [man]”. Unlike the Miss Italy contest, this is not actually televised, to the disappointment of many female Italian television viewers, but it certainly says something about gender relations in Italy.
Aside from that, we bring you the photos of Gabriele Morra, and while he’s nice, there are plenty of other nice guys surrounding him (check out the tall guy on the left, for example!). Ladies, if ever you wanted a parade of Italian men to start your week, it’s all here.
Gabriele Morra is 24-years-old and comes from Naples. He is studying medicine and despite winning the contest, has every intention of finishing his studies. After which, he says, he’s going to go to acting school to dedicate himself to the world of cinema. Have a closer look at this sexy Italian man in the pics.

Melita Toniolo became famous for…..wait for it…. big boobs! Not quite like Cristina del Basso, though, and after having done a photo shoot for FHM UK, Melita has said: “In Italy, women like me are more dangerous than shot guns.” Perhaps to explain, she goes on to say: “A beauty like mine can’t be controlled.”
According to the former Italian big brother contestant, by being dangerous she means for Italian men. Does she know something I don’t…? Anyway, after being a bona fide Italian model, Melita has turned into more of an Italian show girl, with the antics to boot. She has been nicknamed “La diavolita” or “devil” for her behaviour, and to give you an idea, she was even caught up in a controversy of auctioning a night in her company. She’s going places in Italy, but whether she’s respected while doing it, is another matter altogether.
To top it off, she says: “My view has always been that if you’re the kind of boy, or even girl, that I fancy and I want to go to the beach with you after dark, then you will never forget the name Melita Toniolo. This much I’m sure.” Can you get any more specific than that?

Michelle Lombardo was unknown until she participated in the Sports Illustrated ‘Fresh Faces’ swimsuit competition back in 2003. From Irish-Italian background, we don’t know a lot about Michelle, but don’t let that stop you checking out the gallery. She appeared in the film “Click” with Adam Sandler back in 2006 and at the time of the Sports Illustrated competition, was 20 years old and working as a sales rep. I think she probably does something different now…

We doubt if this nude pic of Carla Bruni is what we’ll see in the Woody Allen film, but one thing is sure: the French first lady has accepted an offer from the famous and sometimes controversial American director to appear in a film. Carla Bruni says herself that she is not an actress, although having had a career as a model and singer would probably help all the same.
We suspect Bruni’s nude modelling days are over, now that she is the wife of a president, and the Woody Allen role is nothing specific as yet. Madame Sarkozy says:
“I am not an actress at all. Maybe I’ll be completely hopeless, but I can’t miss an opportunity like this one in my life. When I’m a grandmother, I’d like to be able to say I made a film with Woody Allen.”
Just what I was thinking about my possible future grandchildren, too.

Fiammetta Cicogna got famous thanks to a television commercial for Italian telecom company, TIM. The photos show a girl capable of playing coy, with a touch of irony as well, almost as if laughing at who is looking at her. According to the interview in the magazine, the Italian model would do anything for love, but she’s got plenty of time to go yet before getting too serious about that part of her life.
