As you know, every year the Italian fashion house delivers a video of their collections and for spring 2011, they have just launched a dazzling film directed by talented James Lima (his collaborations include such films as Avatar and Spiderman4)
With its swirl of colours and catchy Cuban music, this new Prada film, (the fruit of a collaboration with OMA) is an artistic collage of illustrations, pictures and images in motion which will take your breath away!

Prada to open new flagship store in Moscow
Prada is to open a new flagship store in Russia; the Italian brand has in fact just rented a huge store in one of Moscow’s most luxury districts (between Bolshaya Dmitrovka and Stoleshnikov Pereylok). The inauguration of the 1,700 square metre flagstore should take place next year.
With Contemporary Moscow frequently referred to as the fifth fashion capital of the world, following Paris, Milan, London and New York, Russian luxury market has become vital for most International brands!

Vogue fashion Night Out in Milan
The Vogue Fashion’s Night Out in Milan, one of the world’s most famous cities for its fashion, takes place this evening in Milan, one night before the New York Vogue Night Out. The city will be focusing on high fashion tonight as international and Italian fashion brands, both boutique and street style, open their doors for a shopping experience that includes music, parades, aperitifs and new business opportunities.
Shops will be open until late in the main shopping areas of Milan including Corso Venezia, the area around the Duomo and Montenapoleone, Piazza san Babila and many others. Following a champagne and fashion parade course, the more ‘democratic’ areas of shopping in Milan, via Brera and corso Garibaldi, are also putting on events with jazz music, wine tastings and a manga Japanese parade in Garibaldi.
Dolce and Gabbana are celebrating along the via della Spiga with a mini-circus. Prada will be offering champagne to everyone and Antonio Marras will personalise the Stella McCartney lingerie in via Santo Spirito. Along the Vittorio Emanuele street the Italian lingerie brand of Intimissimi will be autographed by actor Luca Argentero and new model Irina Shayk. Re Giorgio in Montenapo will put a Campari bar together and will present the new “Shopping Bag”. See all the events here.

In this new and exciting collection dominated by blue shades, she takes denim back to its roots and, however contradictory this may seem, she breathes new life into it.

Prada signs Miranda Kerr
Italian fashion label Prada has signed one of the hottest models of the moment, Miranda Kerr, for advertising in its Prada autumn/winter 2010/2011 collection. The top Australian model, famous for being Orlando Bloom’s partner, is big news at the moment, after becoming a Victoria’s Secret model and being chosen to model for the 2010 Pirelli Calendar. The Prada contract will be the first fray into high fashion for Kerr, and we can’t wait to see the first pics of from the campaign.

Prada 2010/11 autumn-winter collection
Mariuccia Prada who originally made her name with iconic handbags has over the years become a kind of beacon for smart, elegant men. Her knack for combining classical craftsmanship with futuristic cuts and fabrics is nothing short of miraculous; so it was her latest collection presented at Milan men’s fashion week just a couple of days ago. Cute close fitting cardigans, flared trousers and beautiful jackets which took us back to 1970s with style!
