On the lack of song writers in Italy, Tiziano Ferro has said: “In Italy there are more singers than songs. The song is the key element, without it I wouldn’t get anywhere.” And in a candid comment on talent shows: ” ‘Amici’? I’ve never watched it. X-Factor? This year I watched only a few episodes and no-one impressed me.”

Italian music is rocketing up the World Chart thanks to Gigi d’Alessio, Boccelli, Biagio Antonacci and above all Tiziano Ferro whose new album Alla mia età has entered the chart at number 17 with 75,000 copies sold. Actually the album has already become double platinum!
Another Italian singer set to soar up the international charts is Laura Pausini whose new album has just been released. As for Giusy Ferreri, her much awaited album Gaetana is expected to sell well and make an appearance on the charts too! It’s nice to see so many Italian singers hitting the big time, isn’t it?

Expectations are high for the release of Italian singer Giusy Ferreri’s album “Gaetana“, happening today. The album follows the huge success of the single “Non Ti Scordar Mai di Me“, result of Ferreri’s runners-up title on the Italian X-Factor show.
The new Italian pop star’s album is being released on the same day as Laura Pausini’s “Primavera in Anticipo”, and so Ferreri may have some difficulty topping the charts as the two Italian female singers go head to head in the rankings. Ferreri has already given the Italian music scene some surprise success though, and so the jury’s out on this new voice in Italian music.
In addition to our previous video posts on the singles “Non ti scordar mai di me” and “Novembre“, after the jump we give you a couple of new songs from Giusy Ferreri, “Stai Fermo Lì” (Stay right there) and “L’Amore e Basta” (Love and nothing else), sung together with Tiziano Ferro.

This is a truly beautiful song, brought to us by Tiziano Ferro, from the original in Spanish called “Te tomare’ una foto”. The video clip shows the famous padlocks of love in Rome, and as usual the song is quite sad. Why are all the best love songs melancholy…?
Ti scattero’ una foto/I’ll take a photo of you
Ricorderò e comunque anche se non vorrai
Ti sposerò perché non te l’ ho detto mai
Come fa male cercare , trovarti poco dopo
E nell’ ansia che ti perdo ti scatterò una foto…
Ti scatterò una foto…
I will remember and even if you won’t want to
I’ll marry you because I’ve never told you
How it hurts to look, finding you after
And in the anxiety of losing you, I’ll take a photo of you…
I’ll take a photo of you…
